Emergency medical transport: North Baldwin EMS provides emergency advanced life support treatment and transport form various locations such as 911 assistance/mutual aid scenes, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, cancer treatment centers, physian’s offices, hospitals, residences of patients requiring home health and/or hospice care, all residence that contact us directly and more.
Critical care transport- high risk inter-facility critical care transportation for patients requiring cardiac, or other advanced interventions such as advanced cardiac care, neurological emergencies, or patients who are ventilator dependant.
General medical transport- non-emergency and inter-facility transports that are considered medically necessary and non-emergent, such as trips to and from a variety of treatment centers (i.e., dialysis, cancer treatment, physical therapy, and/or outpatient clinics)
Long distance medical transport- available for patients needing medical transport anywhere in the continental United States.
Special event and medical standby- includes events such as athletic activities (football, rodeos, marathons, etc.0, and standbys for local fire departments.
Emergency hurricane deployment - contracted with FEMA, North Baldwin EMS will deploy units to aid in emergency hurricane evacuation anywhere in the continental United States within hours of notice.
A rigorous ongoing continuing education program is necessary to support the extensive knowledge and skills that are expected of our emergency personnel. The following is a list of the skills that North Baldwin EMS paramedics are trained in and prepared to utilize:
Our membership program covers family member living in the household, including the subscriber, their spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age.
Membership covers a 12-month period from August to August. Members receive service with no out-of-pocket expense for emergency and medically necessary ambulance transportation. Medical necessity is defined by the United States Government Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
